Karanda Mission Hospital
Karanda Mission Hospital is an oasis of hope in the ravaged African country of Zimbabwe.
Because people care and people give, Karanda Mission Hospital serves the people at a time
when the major government hospitals across the country have closed. Providing food for the
patients is always a challenge, but has of late become extremely challenging. A missionary
worker recently wrote, “Today is the last day we will have any food to give our patients
and the nursing students. We have a little bit of rice for the patients (enough to last today),
and one small barrel of corn for the students left.”
TEAM missionaries were recently able to source 10 tons of food packs. Each pack cost $15 and
consists of some maize meal, beans, dried fish, salt and cooking oil. This will supplement a
family for the month, but is not enough to meet all their requirements. The missionary leader
for Zimbabwe writes, “It was not cheap, but these days are severe.” Your gift of funds will
ensure that we can keep the source of supplies that are needed. You can be confident that the
food will get to the people who need it.
Please give as unto the Lord.
